Rio School District Pre-Enrollment
If your student has EVER attended one of our schools you do NOT need to complete a Pre-Enrollment. Please contact your school of enrollment.
Requirements to Register New Students
Registration for Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten through 8th grade for the school year 2026-2027 is now open. Students with their 5th birthdates between September 2, 2020 and June 2, 2021 are eligible
to enroll for Transitional Kindergarten (TK).
Please provide the following documentation to register:
1. Verification of Student Date of Birth:
✓ Original Birth Certificate, Passport, Certified Hospital Birth Record, or duly attested Baptismal Record.
2. Verification of Immunizations - Bring the immunization record at the time of enrollment. Your child must have all vaccinations needed. The following immunizations are required for school entry:
✓ 5- DTap, 4- Polio, 3- Hepatitis B, 2- MMR, 2- Varicella.
✓ Tdap is required for students enrolling in the 7th or 8th grade.
✓ Health Examination For School Entry Required.
3. Proof of Residency (ONE of the following is required) - Document must be dated within 30 days :
✓ Gas, Water, Electric, Telephone, rent receipt, or a lease agreement. Bill must have the parent’s names and dates on the document. If unable to provide proof of residence, ask for an Affidavit of residence and return with a proof of address of the person who signed the affidavit.
4. Oral Health Assessment:
✓ Only for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten
5. Legal Custody papers – if there are any legal court orders or foster placement papers.
6. Special Education:
✓ If your child has an IEP individualized Education Program
